August 14, 2017
Greetings Parents, ,
It is my extreme delight to welcome you to a new school year at Austinville Elementary.  IT IS GOING TO BE AN AMAZING YEAR! We have gotten off to a great start and I have had the opportunity to meet many of you.  I am so excited to be here!
My name is Tiffany Spencer and I am originally from a small town in Pickens County, Gordo, Alabama.  I have a sweet five year old Shih Tzu, FavorJoy. I love all things Alabama, Roll Tide! I am a huge, die hard football fan.   I attended the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE) where I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in early childhood and elementary education, and an educational specialist degree in instructional leadership.  Over the past 17 years, I served in a variety of positions in education:  elementary teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director of adult education.  I know that education is the calling for my life.  It brings me sheer joy to watch students, faculty/staff, and parents as well maximize their full potential. I pride myself in creating an atmosphere where everyone feels valued.
Your child(ren) are my main priority.  You entrust them to my care for nearly 8 hours every day and I do not take that trust lightly.  It is my pledge to you that OUR children will be loved, fed, safe and educated on a daily basis.  We hope that you will support us in our efforts.
As we embark upon this new year together, I ask that you view each opportunity as a learning experience.  We will face challenges but we will also share many more successes.  I am never too busy to speak with you or to meet with you. Please do not hesitate to call, email, text, etc.
Welcome to Austinville where we are moving from “ordinary to extraordinary!”
